Actress and singer Haico Van Der Veken has officially partnered with veteran DJ, DJ Yasmin, for a collaborative two-single music project. Through this partnership, the duo has introduced a techno track titled "Control Myself," which has already been released across various digital platforms.
The launch of the music project was celebrated with a release party held at Babylon, SCBD, Jakarta, on Tuesday (19/5/2026). The venue was packed with invited guests, influencers, and entertainment industry professionals who gathered to witness the premiere screening of the "Control Myself" music video.
With this project, Haico is expanding her footprint in the entertainment industry by seriously stepping into the electronic music scene. Until now, Haico has been widely recognized for her roles in various television series and her acting accolades, including winning Favorite Lead Actress at the Indonesian Drama Series Awards.
Haico’s vocal character is paired with electronic music arrangements crafted by DJ Yasmin, a long-time prominent figure in the country's EDM industry. DJ Yasmin boasts extensive experience performing on various international stages and was previously dubbed "The Queen of Spin" by the Rolling Stone Editors' Awards.
This collaboration is under the direction of Creative Producer Hisham Hussien and Project Coordinator Mutiara Fitriani.
Hisham Hussien stated that the project is about more than just releasing a song; it aims to present a musical concept with a strong identity.
"We want to create a concept that continuously captures the listeners' attention and leaves a profound impression. This collaboration isn't just about a song, but about how to build a music brand that can stand the test of time," Hisham said in his official statement.
Meanwhile, Mutiara Fitriani noted that the chemistry between Haico and DJ Yasmin is one of the core strengths of this project.
"Their chemistry is very palpable in 'Control Myself.' We want to deliver a project that breaks down boundaries in the local music industry," Mutiara said.
Not stopping at just one track, Haico and DJ Yasmin have also prepared a second single titled "Moving On," which is scheduled for release at the end of June 2026. The track is said to combine elements of hip-hop and dangdut, a genre they refer to as "hipdut."
Currently, "Control Myself" is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and various other digital music streaming platforms. Its official music video has also been released on YouTube.
