Jakarta – Actress Haico Van Der Veken has teamed up with veteran disc jockey DJ Yasmin for a cross-genre music project that blends elements of techno with "hipdut" (hip-hop dangdut).
The collaboration kicks off with the release of their debut single, Control Myself, a techno track that is now available across various digital streaming platforms.
The launch of the project was celebrated with a release party at Babylon in the SCBD area of Jakarta on Tuesday (May 19). The event was attended by entertainment industry professionals, influencers, and invited guests.
The project's Creative Producer, Hisham Hussien, shared that the collaboration between Haico and DJ Yasmin was designed to bring a fresh, new flavor to the national music scene by bringing together two completely different musical identities.
"We wanted to introduce a musical concept that doesn't just chase temporary trends, but one that carries a strong identity and has real longevity," Hisham stated.
He added that blending Haico's vocals with DJ Yasmin's signature electronic beats is expected to reach a much broader market, especially younger generations who love electronic music.

Haico, who has primarily been known for her acting career, is now expanding her horizons into the music industry. She has previously won several acting accolades, including Favorite Lead Actress at the Indonesian Drama Series Awards.
Meanwhile, DJ Yasmin is recognized as one of the pioneer female DJs in Indonesia, boasting extensive experience performing on international stages. She was also named Best Female DJ at the Paranoia Awards.
Project Coordinator Mutiara Fitriani mentioned that the project will keep moving forward with the release of a second single titled Moving On at the end of June 2026.
"The next single will explore a blend of hip-hop and dangdut, or 'hipdut,' giving this project an even wider musical spectrum," Mutiara said.
In addition to being available on digital streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music, the music video for Control Myself can also be viewed on YouTube.
